Don’t Cry, Phoenix, Sonia Leung’s debut poetry collection of 110 pieces, is bilingual (English and Chinese). A CD of 10 original songs accompanies the book. Sonia’s friend, Adeline, a piano teacher in Taiwan, composed ten melodies pairing a selection of her poems. They recorded the songs in a Taipei studio and sang five songs each. Adeline’s friend, Isabelle, a professional musician, arranged the songs and acted as their producer. The book’s front and back covers and the eight drawings inside were all hand-painted by Sonia’s HK designer friend, Noel. And Sonia had two editors, Q and Yijing, for the English and Chinese versions. Another good friend, Mark, became the copy editor. So, the book and CD as a set is a true labor of love from all seven of them. It is their love letter to you and the world. Find out more about Sonia Leung and her books at www.soniaflleung.com
